A former news director regularly referred to Herndon as the “go-to” reporter who showed a willingness to go above and beyond the norm. He's a graduate of the prestigious Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri and currently serves as president-elect of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the University of Missouri Alumni Association.
Herndon has more than a decade of on-air television and radio experience. He's covered crime, politics and consumer/investigative stories. He worked at stations in Missouri, Louisiana and most recently in Fort Myers, Fla.
