'I'm a Celebrity...' Patti Blagojevich UpdateBlog on the Patti Blagojevich chronicles.

Patricia "Patti" Blagojevich is one of 10 celebrities competing in NBC's summer blockbuster 'I'm a Celebrity...' program. Here we will post the latest developments on Patti's adventures in the jungle of Costa Rica.

6/24/09: Patti participated in a challenge for a gourmet salad. She had a tough time crawling across the wire high above the ground. But she finished the challenge eventhough it was clear she had no chance of winning. She did NOT quit. Patti was voted the 'new' celebrity. Two celebrities are to be eliminated tonight. The first to go was Sanjaya. Tonight was the end of the line for Patti.

6/23/09: Patti bowed out of a challenge that would've involved her having bugs crawl in her ears. She said that her experience in the jungle prepared her for the battle that lies ahead for her family.

6/18/09: Patti had a great night. First, she won a challenge. All the celebrities were on their own. She was one of three to win. Her reward: pizza! Then the best news of all. Patti was NOT in the bottom two. And she survives another week. Voting begins again!

Holly Montag and Janice Dickenson are voted off. During an interview portion, Holly had some nice words about Patti.

6/17/09: Patti seems to be acclimating very nicely in the jungle. Patti learns that she is not in the bottom two for voting. But with two celebrities going home the following night, the race to finish on top is on!

6/15/09: Patti wins a challenge and is rewarded with a massage. Later in the show she opens up to John Salley about the possibility that the US Attorney may come after her to get her husbad. She also complains about the US Attorney forcing people to lie to get her husband.

6/11/09: Patti calls home via Skype and speaks to Rod and her children, Amy and Annie. Annie shows her mom a photo she made. It provides relief to Patti seeing her family at home getting along without her. Makes her feel more comfortable.

Patti is in the bottom three. But she lasts another week as Daniel Baldwin is eliminated from the program.

6/09/09: Patti begins the night in defeat when her feet are the first to touch the water.
Patti talks about her husband Rod.and discoveriing her inner strength. Instead of rice and beans, because the women win their first challenge the women dine on hot dogs and all the fixin's.
Patti competes in challenge of strength. And brains. Torri and Patti win the challenge!! Daniel Baldwin who has a pregnant wife and Patti are chosen by Lou Diamond Philips to make calls to their loved ones at home via Skype.

6/08/09: Program begins with the Speidi update. Show tease promotes Patti 'opening up' about her family crisis. She is crying.
Spencer pumps up Patti and suggests that she open up about her personal situation. She does.
About Rod: "He does hope the truth comes out," Patti says.
She tells about losing everything... that they're fighting to keep their home and she's driving around in a 21 year old car. (It's a Volvo). "It's just hard," she says. Breaking down in tears she says:
"You hope that it was a big awf"ul dream... you do what you can do."
"This has been a good distraction as much as I miss my home and my kids. I haven't laughed that hard is 6-8 months."

6/05/09: The show may not be on the air today. But that didn't keep programs from talking about Patti and Rod Blagojevich. Anderson Cooper, guest hosting on 'Regis and Kelly' cracks some jokes at their expense. Hey, it's in good fun.

6/04/09: One female celebrity goes home tonight. Patti and Torrie volunteer for The Puzzle Challenge that requires brain and brawn.
They lose to the men. You have to wonder why these competitions are women vs. men? Doesn't seem fair, does it? Okay, enough editorial.
During LIVE portions of the program Patti tugs at her ear--a la Carol Burnett--sending a signal to her kids in Chicago that she loves them and misses them.
Angela goes home.

6/3/09: Patti says waking up in camp was peaceful and started to feel like home.
John Salley and Janice Dickerson get into a big fight over shampoo.
Patti wins a point for the girls' team by beating Sanjaya at a challenge... yeah Patti!! It would be the only point for her team.

6/2/09: Patti had a quiet, but important night on the show…
First, she bailed out of the challenge that we watch begin last night after snakes were introduced and began to crawl on her. She was the second to last woman to 'bug' out (sorry).
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt leave the show by saying 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'' Patti tells Sanjaya that Sanjaya is “a little more mature than him (Pratt)” She was in a conversation talking about how Heidi and Spencer had grown up in a life of luxury.
Because Sanjaya won immunity for the guy’s team by winning the challenge, the first public vote is going on to see which of the women will be vote out of the jungle. But in a twist…the guys got to pick one woman to save from the public vote… and they chose Patti! So, she is immune from the vote and will stick around for at least another week. The women, led by Janice said ‘that was a good choice to save Patti.’
Thursday, one of the women not named Patti will leave the show.

6/1/09: Patti is a member of the Red Team. Along with Spencer and Heidi, Janice Dickerson and John Salley. On the way into the jungle, Patti had a spill in the river. Afterwards, she said, "I hope there's not too much more excitement coming my way today. I've had as much as I could spare."
Patti had to eat a tarantula that tasted musty and yeasty. She competed against Lou Diamond Phillips. But lost. She and the girls lost the competition and get to eat rice and beans instead of chicken.
At the camp, Spencer asks Patti about her husband Rod, the former governor. "They made a big hooplah over something that wasn't true," Patti says.
Spencer says about Rod, "This is who I would've voted for the President of the United States."
Patti becomes emotional and says this is "probably the worst 6 months of our lives."
